`Hi I'm new too. I think some people just are afraid to take in new information especially religious information because then they will feel guilty for all their short comings. There are many reason people don't want to talk to missionaries though.

`I agree with puuwai95...religion is a sensitive subject for people for many reasons but I imagine mostly because it's so personal. And accepting religion or accepting Christ's gospel means self reflection and certainly the goal of changing the short comings. Often people don't want to change, it can be hard work or even scary. And often requires sacrifice. The beauty of it is Christ is there for everyone, anytime, but best when they are ready. I wish more people wanted to talk to missionaries, they are truly inspired and such dedicated, good people. Just share the gospel and let the Spirit do the rest! :)
