I'm an active Latter-day Saint looking for the same in an LDS sister to grow old with and share my life ... as an equal partner.
I teach math at the community college level as a "Road Scholar" (I teach at two community colleges) and am a leader in the Oregon Education Association as an advocate for part-time faculty. I am a Democrat.
I make friends very easily and have a well developed (but a bit strange) sense of humor. I enjoy good food, though not necessarily "gourmet" food. I enjoy both the beach and the mountains. I am not athletic, I tend to be more "cerebral". Still, I like golf and light bicycle riding.
The special sister I will "click with" will be funny, intelligent, "real" in body and spirit, and assertive enough to keep me on my toes, but still very nurturing. She will accept my children and grandchildren (all adults, I live with my dog Pookie) and will easily learn to love them as I will hers. She will be understanding and accept that while I have been a divorcee in the distant past, I am currently a widower of a good sister whose children I consider my own.
